Learning Support Assistant - Medway Towns (PMLD Specialism)
Full-time, Monday to Friday
£90 per day

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting! Do you have a passion for making a genuine difference in the lives of primary and secondary-aged students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)? If so, this role could be the perfect fit!

We are looking for dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join special needs schools in the Medway Towns area, supporting primary and secondary-aged students with PMLD.

• Provide individual and group support to primary and secondary students with PMLD, assisting with learning activities and daily tasks.

• Offer personal care support, including help with toileting and feeding, while ensuring each student's dignity and well-being.

• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement tailored Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and manage behaviour effectively.

• Create a supportive, safe, and engaging atmosphere that encourages students to achieve their full potential.

• Competitive daily rate - £90 per day with weekly payments.

• Legal right to work in the UK.

• Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, particularly PMLD, is advantageous.

• Ability to provide personal care support, including toileting and feeding, as needed.

• Strong communication skills, patience, flexibility, and a positive approach.

• Willingness to undergo necessary background checks and obtain clearances.

• Hold, or be willing to apply for, an enhanced DBS (child workforce) on the update service.
