Are you fluent in Polish and passionate about supporting young people with additional needs?

We are recruiting a Polish-speaking Residential Support Worker to join a specialist SEN school with on-site residential provision in Preston. The school supports children and young people aged 8 to 19 with Autism, PMLD, SEMH, and communication difficulties, some of whom are non-verbal.

This is a hands-on, rewarding role in a supportive and well-resourced setting. You'll be working closely with students in both the home and school, helping them to build independence, feel safe, and thrive emotionally and socially.

• Support pupils in their daily routines, both in the home and education setting

• Build trusted relationships using Polish language skills to support Polish-speaking pupils

• Support with personal care, communication needs, and behaviour

• Lead and engage in fun, purposeful activities (arts, sensory play, outdoor games)

• Work collaboratively with care staff, teachers, and therapists

• Maintain clear, accurate records and support individual care plans

• Fluent in Polish (essential) - especially to support current Polish-speaking pupils

• Warm, proactive, and resilient - able to think on your feet and take initiative

• Experience with Autism, PMLD, or SEMH is desirable but not essential

• Comfortable with personal care and supporting behaviour

• Willingness to work full-time shifts (7am-10pm x2 + 10hr shift) or part-time (flexible between 10-30 hours)

• Driving licence is a bonus

• Supportive, experienced team

• On-site training and development, including TA qualifications if desired

• Fantastic facilities including sensory rooms and a hydrotherapy pool

• Early Friday finish for full-time staff if tasks are completed
