Press Operator Afternoon Shift

Fantastic client based in Birmingham who are an award winning Engineering & Manufacturing Business are looking for press Operator to join their team on the afternoon shift.

Hours of work are 3.30pm - 1.30am Pay rate is £12.21 with a 21% hourly shift allowance.

Key Priorities & Duties

* Operation of both automated and manual presswork machines.

? First line quality control checks and measures to set standards.

? Order quantity and Packing tasks. ? Supporting the Press Setter with pre-setting and setting tasks ie Material handling etc;

? Material handling - loading and unloading of metal coils.

? Booking accurate production data through the computer system Navision.

? Support and involvement for the Company's 5s programme.

? Reporting of any incidents that may affect the production process. ? Working with Health & Safety in mind for both self and other team members.

* Active involvement in both the problem solving and continuous improvement process.

? Willingness to train and develop other skills to support the effectiveness of the team and business

Preferred experience

? Experience of Operating Bruderer presses - 25, 30 to 60 ton machines.
