Press Setter Operator

M4 Recruitment are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our busy fabrication client in Newbury.

The ideal candidate will operate press brake machinery to bend, shape, and form metal parts according to detailed specifications, ensuring quality and precision in every piece.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form metal sheets and components.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine appropriate bend angles and sequence.

• Measure and inspect finished parts for accuracy, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

• Adjust machine settings, tooling, and dies as needed to achieve desired results.

• Maintain and clean equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance.

• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Collaborate with the production team to meet daily production targets and deadlines.

• Report any machine malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role in metal fabrication.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

• Proficiency in operating press brake machinery and associated tools.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Good manual dexterity and physical stamina.

• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.

• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed.

• Standing for extended periods and operating machinery safely.
