Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support – Autism) – Grimsby

Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Until July 2025 (potential to continue into September)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30
Pay: £90 per day

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Grimsby. This role involves providing 1:1 support for a child with autism, helping them thrive in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

• Immediate start with a view to continue into the new academic year
• Full-time hours: 32.5 hours per week
• Supportive and collaborative school environment
• Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a child’s educational journey

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child with autism, focusing on their educational, emotional, and social development
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement effective strategies and monitor progress
• Maintain regular communication with parents/carers to ensure consistent support

• Experience working with children in EYFS or primary settings
• Understanding of autism and strategies to support children with additional needs
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., TA or Early Years) are desirable but not essential
