Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (30-minute lunch)
Rate of Pay: £30.00 – £40.00 per hour DOE

Role Overview:
This position is ideal for a confident prescriber looking to make a tangible difference in a primary care setting. You’ll be embedded within a supportive multidisciplinary team and will contribute to safe and effective prescribing practices, long-term condition management, and medication optimisation. Flexibility for partial remote working may be discussed after initial onboarding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver medication reviews to enhance prescribing safety and efficiency

• Support the management of chronic conditions such as hypertension, asthma, and diabetes

• Prescribe autonomously as an Independent Prescriber

• Collaborate closely with GPs, practice nurses, and other team members

• Ensure accurate clinical documentation and record-keeping

Requirements:

• Registered with the GPhC as a Pharmacist

• Independent Prescriber status – essential

• Prior experience in a general practice or PCN setting

• Strong clinical knowledge and patient communication skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider healthcare team

Contract Summary:
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday locum role (9am–5pm with a 30-minute break), commencing in July and expected to continue on an ongoing basis. There is strong potential for the contract to extend long-term for the right individual.
