Primary Care Pharmacy Technician – Locum Opportunity in Leicester

Are you a qualified Pharmacy Technician with experience in primary care? We have an exciting locum role available in Leicester, starting this August, within a well-established GP surgery committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

Position: Locum Pharmacy Technician – GP Practice
Location: Leicester
Start Date: August 2025
Duration: Ongoing contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (30-minute unpaid break)
Hourly Rate: £19 – £25 DOE

You’ll be joining a welcoming and experienced primary care team focused on improving health outcomes across the local population. The surgery uses SystemOne and benefits from an integrated pharmacy team that plays a vital role in streamlining medication processes and enhancing patient safety.

• Managing repeat prescription processes efficiently

• Supporting medicines reconciliation and optimisation initiatives

• Engaging in clinical audits and supporting QOF targets

• Working collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and other allied health professionals

• Maintaining accurate patient records via SystemOne

• GPhC-registered Pharmacy Technician

• Primary care or PCN experience preferred

• Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment

• Familiarity with SystemOne desirable

• Proactive, organised, and patient-focused

• Secure, long-term opportunity in a respected practice
