About the Role

Are you a newly qualified or soon-to-qualify teacher looking to gain classroom experience and build confidence? Hays Education is working with a range of primary schools in Doncaster to recruit enthusiastic Early Career Teachers (ECTs) for supply teaching roles starting in September.

This is a fantastic opportunity to explore different school settings, develop your teaching practice, and potentially secure a long-term or permanent role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1, or KS2
• Adapt quickly to different classroom environments
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively
• Support pupils' learning and wellbeing
• Provide feedback to the class teacher or school leadership

Requirements

• QTS or pending QTS (final-year trainees welcome)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A proactive and adaptable teaching style
• Passion for education and making a difference
• Willingness to travel within Barnsley and surrounding areas
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
