Primary Special Needs TA

Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a school in Sutton Coldfield that supports primary aged children with complex and multiple needs, all of whom have an Education and Health Care Plan. The pupils may have Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and/or a diagnosis of an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASD). Some pupils have additional needs including visual impairment and hearing impairment.

We are seeking an experienced Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant available full-time or part-time. Experience supporting challenging behaviour is essential.

Requirements:

Experience working with students with autism, communication difficulties, and social skill disorders is essential.

Experience working in special school is essential.

A genuine passion for working in special education and making a positive impact on young lives.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students and colleagues.

Patience, empathy, and understanding in supporting students with diverse needs.

Relevant qualifications or certifications in SEN or Childcare.
