Primary - Teaching Assistant

Reed Education are currently exclusively supporting a lovely primary school in the Isle of Axholme area (DN9) with their recruitment for a Level 2 qualified teaching assistant or nursery practitioner. To add to their friendly team, they require someone to begin in September until October half term initially. There may be an opportunity for the role to be extended.

The EYFS (reception) class is small with less than 20 children on roll, meaning the team is small but very close-knit. The staff work extremely closely together to plan, educate and inspire the children and so you would be joining a supportive, friendly and passionate team.

• Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children to learn and develop.

• Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

• Observe, assess, and record each child’s progress, sharing outcomes with parents and colleagues.

• Maintain a clean and organised setting that meets health and safety standards.

• Collaborate with other team members to create a cohesive and supportive environment.

• Attend staff meetings and participate in training and development opportunities.

• Level 2 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.

• Proven experience working in a nursery or school setting.

• An enhanced DBS check with child barred list (this can be applied for through Reed).

• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
