Role: Primary Teaching Assistant Location: Southwark Start Date: September 2025 Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only Salary: Up to £650 a week
The role: We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team in September 2025.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is looking to develop their career in education. Key responsibilities:
Support pupils in achieving their learning goals, both individually and in small groups
Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons
Help manage pupil behaviour in line with school's policies.
Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs, including those with SEN and EAL
Support children's emotional and social development promoting positive relationships
Contribute to the wider school community and participate in relevant training and development opportunities.
We're looking for:
A positive, proactive attitude with a genuine passion for working with children
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Some prior experience working with children in a school or similar setting is desirable
A relevant Level 2 or 3 TA qualification is an advantage but not essential
