Private Social Worker

We are seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join our team, specialising in private law children's proceedings. This role offers a significant opportunity to contribute to positive outcomes for children and families within the legal framework.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Performing comprehensive assessments of children and families involved in private law disputes (e.g., child arrangements, specific issue orders, prohibited steps orders).
• Generating impartial, evidence-based court reports that centre on the child's welfare and best interests.
• Directly eliciting and incorporating children's wishes and feelings into legal processes.
• Collaborating with legal professionals, families, and relevant agencies to achieve optimal child-focused resolutions.
• Providing professional guidance and recommendations to the court on intricate family dynamics and child welfare matters.
• Ensuring strict adherence to all applicable family law and social work legislation and best practice.

Applicants must be a Qualified Social Worker with:

• Substantial post-qualifying experience in social work, demonstrably within children's services, with a preference for family court or private law experience.
• A thorough understanding of pertinent family law legislation and its application.
• Advanced assessment, analytic, and report-writing capabilities.
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement across all stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and manage a demanding caseload efficiently.
• A steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
