Probation Officer- Remote

Remote Probation Officer - Guildford PDU
Contract: 3 Months, with possibility of extension | Full-Time (30 hrs/week)
£21.75 PAYE | £28.64 Umbrella per hour
Remote - Caseload Based in Guildford PDU (South Central Region)

Role Overview
You will manage a caseload of service users within the Guildford PDU area, focusing on risk management, rehabilitation, and sentence plan delivery. The role is fully remote but may require occasional travel to the office for essential meetings or compliance.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of individuals on licence or community orders
• Complete OASys assessments and sentence plans
• Prepare and submit high-quality parole reports and attend oral hearings where required
• Contribute to risk management processes including MAPPA
• Liaise with key partner agencies to support rehabilitation and public protection
• Maintain accurate case records using nDelius and other HMPPS systems

Requirements

• Qualified Probation Officer (PQIP, DipPS, or equivalent)
• Recent experience of preparing parole reports and participating in oral hearings
• Strong knowledge of OASys, risk assessment, and safeguarding procedures
• Ability to work independently and manage caseload remotely
• Familiarity with HMPPS case management systems (e.g., nDelius, OASys)
