Probation Service Officer

Red Snapper is seeking a Probation Services Officer to join the Nottinghamshire PDU - Worksop office for a short-term, full-time assignment focused on sentence management and face-to-face engagement with service users.

Duration: 5 months, with possibility of extension | Full-Time - 37.5 hours/week
Location: On-site -11 Newcastle Street, Worksop, Nottinghamshire, S80 2AS
Salary: £16.39 p/h PAYE or £21.59 Umbrella

Role Overview
The successful candidate will manage a caseload of low to medium risk individuals (both male and female), providing supervision, support, and interventions in line with sentence plans and public protection objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Face-to-face supervision of People on Probation
• Complete risk assessments and sentence plans (OASys experience desirable)
• Deliver one-to-one interventions and structured supervision sessions
• Work closely with internal teams and external partners to support rehabilitation
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with probation service standards

Requirements

• Previous experience in a probation, criminal justice, or support role (PSO experience ideal)
• Comfortable working in person and managing a diverse caseload
• Strong communication, organisation, and IT skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, structured environment
