Procurement Assistant

Are you a detail-oriented procurement professional with experience in manufacturing or engineering? We’re working with a leading organisation that is looking to support its procurement team with a motivated and enthusiastic Procurement Assistant on an initial 8-to-12-week contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and collaborative team, supporting strategic UK contracts and playing a key role in supplier management and procurement governance.

• Support supplier selection and development to meet quality, delivery, and cost targets.
• Engage with suppliers to assess technical requirements and manage accounts via ERP systems.
• Monitor procurement costs and budgets, flag discrepancies, and ensure timely material delivery.
• Liaise with internal teams to communicate supply chain updates and resolve invoice queries.
• Contribute to cost reduction, product development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Proven experience in a manufacturing-based role
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and use ERP systems confidently.
• Flexible and adaptable with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Willingness to travel to UK-based suppliers.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to high-spec procurement standards.
