Job Title: Procurement Officer

Hourly Rate: £27 - £32
Contract Length: 3 months
Working Style: 2 days onsite

Overview:
Join our client's Finance team as a Procurement Officer, where you'll support the Procurement Manager in delivering strategic procurement initiatives. Your expertise will ensure value for money and compliance with the Procurement Act 2023.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead procurement projects, ensuring compliance with Government policies and UK procurement law.
• Advise on drafting Statements of Requirement and market engagement strategies.
• Integrate social value, SME participation, and sustainability criteria into procurement exercises.
• Manage high-value contracts, identifying and mitigating commercial risks.
• Negotiate with suppliers and oversee contract signing.
• Provide expert procurement advice to internal stakeholders and maintain proper documentation.

Essential Criteria:

• Understanding of the Procurement Act 2023; Transforming Public Procurement Certification preferred.
• Proven experience in public sector procurement.
• CIPS Level 4 certification.
• Strong decision-making, teamwork, and communication skills.
