Azure Product Owner - Cloud Migration & Platform Transformation

Join one of the UK's most trusted mobile network brands, known for its strong retail roots and customer-first ethos. We're looking for a Product Owner to lead a major transformation initiative: the migration of a legacy private cloud estate to a modern Azure-based platform. This is a 12-month contract based in Slough, with 2 flexible on-site days per week (no anchor days).

Your Mission:

You'll be at the heart of a strategic programme to modernise critical infrastructure. The client is currently operating on a legacy private cloud setup, including SQL Server and file servers. Your role will focus on driving the migration to Azure Cloud - improving scalability, efficiency, and resilience across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Cloud Migration: Own the product vision and roadmap for the migration from legacy infrastructure to Azure, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical strategy.
• Drive Platform Modernisation: Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and cyber security teams to deliver a secure, scalable, and future-ready platform.
• Champion the Customer: Ensure that platform changes enhance the customer experience and support long-term growth.
• Facilitate Collaboration: Lead workshops and discussions with technical and business stakeholders to align on goals, priorities, and dependencies.
• Measure What Matters: Define and track KPIs for your product, using them to drive continuous improvement in scalability, robustness, and value for money.
• Embed Agile Ways of Working: Champion Scrum practices within your squad, ensuring clarity of roles, ceremonies, and a well-maintained product backlog.
• Write Great Stories: Create clear, testable user stories using the INVEST principle and story mapping techniques to shape cohesive product features.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in cloud transformation or infrastructure modernisation projects
• Strong understanding of Azure cloud services and migration strategies
• Familiarity with legacy systems such as SQL Server and file servers
• Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills
• Strong grasp of agile methodologies, particularly Scrum
• Experience in telecoms, retail, or digital platforms is a plus
