Job Description - Production Planner Role

Acorn by Synergie are recruiting for a raw materials planner on a long term temporary basis to join their fmcg client located on Astmoor Industrial Estate in Runcorn

The successful candidate will be joining a friendly supportive team within a food production environment

The hours of work will be Monday - Friday ideally 8am to 4pm but there is some flexibility available on hours worked .

Hybrid working may be offered after successful completion of all training, although the role is fully office-based during the initial training period

The rate of pay is £17.16 per hour.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • To order raw material components to meet the short/medium term production requirements across all production areas in line with forecast.
  • Control stock movements into the site and external warehousing whilst working to strict storage constraints. Including product movement from Europe.
  • Work alongside the Production Planners and facilitate where possible, fluctuations in demand against production forecasts.
  • Highlight and raise supplier service issues to ensure timely component supply
  • Work closely with the warehouse and procurement department to chase deliveries, outstanding orders, collections and returns whilst keeping all system data accurate.
  • Develop and work with suppliers to determine a good working relationship
  • Highlighting any impending stock outs. Weekly report to be issued.
  • ERP master data to be maintained and reviewed. To develop and improve ERP systems. Replenishment lead times/safety stocks/stock holding to be reviewed regularly.

Experience of working in a supply chain role would be a distinct advantage

Candidate requirements:

* Excellent computer and communication skills are required
* Team player
* Positive hands on can do attitude
* Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
* Ability to work with minimum supervision once trained
* Excel experienced

* Data entry skills
