Shift: Shift Rotation or Days

Pay Rate: £14.90 per hour

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Production Team Leader to join a well-established food manufacturing company. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and experience in a fast-paced production environment.

The Role

As a Production Team Leader, you will oversee a team of operators and ensure the smooth running of production and packaging processes. You will play a key role in meeting production targets, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring a safe and hygienic working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Organising daily activities for operators

• Managing production start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers

• Monitoring product quality and ensuring compliance with specifications

• Achieving production targets and shift goals

• Leading daily handovers and tier meetings

• Training and coaching team members

• Ensuring compliance with Food Safety, Health & Safety, and 5S standards

• Completing all shift paperwork accurately

• Assisting in production operations when required

• Deputising for the Production Supervisor when necessary

About You

We’re looking for a Team Leader who can communicate effectively, motivate a team, and lead by example.

Essential:

• Good knowledge of manufacturing, food safety, and health & safety

• Ability to lead and manage teams

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Enthusiastic, engaging, and personable approach

Desirable:

• Previous supervisory experience, ideally within food manufacturing

• HACCP, Health & Safety, or Food Hygiene Level 2 training

• Forklift licence

• Knowledge of Lean Sigma or continuous improvement processes
