Professional Indemnity/Insurance Solicitor - 12-Month FTC

This is an excellent opportunity for a London based professional indemnity or insurance disputes Solicitor to join the compliance team of a leading City law firm on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This urgent hire will support the Head of Professional Liability with a broad range of work including the management of claims, client complaints, insurance matters, and internal investigations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Handling and reporting professional indemnity claims
• Drafting responses to complaints and liaising with the Legal Ombudsman
• Assisting with insurance notifications and renewals
• Supporting internal and regulatory investigations
• Advising on contentious matters involving the firm or its suppliers

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5-7+ years' post-qualification experience in litigation
• A background in professional negligence and/or insurance coverage
• Experience in handling claims against Solicitors (desirable)
• Previous exposure to in-house or compliance-focused roles (advantageous)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
