Interim Project Accountant
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid)
Rate: £350 per day
Start Date: ASAP

Our client, a large FTSE-listed business, is seeking an experienced qualified accountant to support their Financial Accounting function on an interim basis. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-performing finance team within a complex, global environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Head of Finance with core reporting and month-end processes.
• Enhance and maintain detailed cashflow models with a focus on accuracy.
• Perform advanced Excel analysis and manage large financial data sets.
• Assist with IFRS 16 lease accounting, including reconciliations and disclosures.
• Deliver timely and accurate account reconciliations across multiple areas.
• Use SAP to extract and analyse financial data.
• Identify and support improvements in reporting and processes.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Strong financial accounting background in a large or complex business.
• Advanced Excel skills; comfortable working with large data sets.
• Good understanding of IFRS 16 lease accounting.
• SAP experience is preferred
• Power BI skills would be a bonus
