Accounts Payable Accountant - Project Accountant - 6-Month FTC

Hays is working with a growing manufacturing business based out of Trafford Park. They are looking for a Senior Accounts Payable accountant to shape the Accounts Payable function of one of their subsidiaries. This is a project-based fixed-term contract role with an initial length dependent on progress. Working closely with the management accountant, the role will require extensive previous experience of Accounts Payable alongside proficiency in accountant software.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable Management
• Setting up payment processes
• Statement and account reconciliation
• Payment/ invoice processing
• System improvement and efficiency
• Ad hoc AP responsibilities

Person Specification:

• Strong IT literacy
• Proficient in multiple accountancy software (E.G. Xero, Sage, Oracle or Business Central)
• Ready to hit the ground running
• Confident and Independent
