Project Assistant Accountant (6-Month FTC)
£325 per day - Inside IR35
Full-time - Hybrid - Luton

The Role
This role will support the implementation of a new Operational Cost System for Airports and Ground Handling. You will play a key role in system testing, data validation, process improvements, and ensuring accurate financial outputs during this critical transition period.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out end-to-end system testing, configuration validation, and process checks.
• Reconcile financial data and validate reporting outputs.
• Identify, document, and resolve issues, ensuring process improvements are implemented.
• Support month-end accounting processes, including journal preparation and reconciliations.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Act as the bridge between project teams and operational finance, ensuring clear communication with all stakeholders.
• Provide ad-hoc support for other operational cost areas as needed.

Skills & Experience

• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Previous experience in accounting/finance.
• Confident working with financial systems and large datasets.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Experience in systems testing or project support within finance (Skymetrix/airpas experience advantageous but not essential).

Contract Details

• 6-month FTC
• £325 per day (Inside IR35)
• Hybrid working: 3 days per week in Luton
• 40 hours per week
