We have a current opportunity for a Project Controls Manager to join our client on their ongoing project at Hinkley Point C. Details of job specification below:

Job Title: Project Controls Manager

Location: Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset

Salary: £83,000 - £90,000 per year DOE, plus overtime paid at flat rate

Standard Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Start Date: 26th May

Work Arrangement: On-site

Rotation Options: 5/2 or 10/4

Accommodation Allowance: £1140 per month

Mileage: Paid on the first and last day of the trip

Paid Holiday: 25 days plus Bank Holidays

Pension: 8% (matched)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Controls Manager to join our team at Hinkley Point C Power Station in Bridgwater, Somerset. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the control processes of our clients construction project, ensuring that all financial and contractual elements are effectively controlled and reported.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the application of payment and valuation processes in accordance with NEC3 contracts.
• Develop and implement cost forecasting strategies to ensure accurate budget management.
• Engage in strong stakeholder management to facilitate effective communication and resolution of commercial issues.
• Oversee the planning department, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
• Prepare and present detailed cost reports, including reporting and planning metrics such as HPI & CPI.
• Utilize CEMAR for contract management and reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with contractors and ensure adherence to contractual obligations and performance standards.
• Provide commercial support and guidance to project teams, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Proven experience with NEC3 contracts.
• Expertise in the application of payment processes and valuation processes.
• Strong background in cost management and forecasting.
• Proficient in stakeholder management and communication.
• Experience in reporting and planning metrics, including HPI & CPI.
• Familiarity with CEMAR is advantageous.
• Experience working on the contractor side is essential.
• Background in construction or mechanical fields.
• Demonstrated experience in overseeing a planning department.
