• Day Rate: Up to £750 per day (Umbrella/Inside IR35)

Oldham Council are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Management professional to lead the Northern Roots project. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in Oldham, enhancing the local economy and community through innovative green and growing initiatives.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

• Collaborate with charity partners to drive forward the various components of the Northern Roots programme.
• Ensure the project remains on schedule and within budget, managing stakeholder relationships effectively.
• Secure additional external investment for future phases of the project.
• Work closely with the Deputy Chief Executive (Place) and Chief Executive of Northern Roots Charity to embed a co-operative partnership model.
• Lead the project team in delivering on-site project elements, boosting Oldham’s economy and enhancing its visitor economy.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven track record in multi-disciplinary programme development and delivery.
• Strong project leadership, collaborative, and organisational skills.
• Technical knowledge in urban regeneration, particularly in heritage and green growth.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of engaging effectively at all levels across public, private, and voluntary sectors.
• Proficient in project management, overseeing complex projects and ensuring effective delivery by third-party organisations.
• Skilled in partnership working, able to develop and maintain relationships across various stakeholders to deliver a shared agenda.
