Oldham Council are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a seasoned Project Management professional to lead a transformative growth project in Sports Town. As Project Director, you will be instrumental in driving forward a multi-disciplinary programme aimed at enhancing Oldham’s economy through sport, health, and education.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Collaborate with private partners to advance various components of the programme.
• Ensure the project remains on schedule and within budget.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and secure additional external investment for future phases.
• Work closely with the Deputy Chief Executive (Place) and Chief Executive of SportsTown Ltd to integrate innovative solutions and achieve the project's goals.
• Lead the project through its planning and execution phases, ensuring all elements are delivered effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven track record in project management, particularly in multi-disciplinary programme development and delivery.
• Strong leadership, collaborative, and organisational skills.
• Technical knowledge in sports, health, and educational pathways as they relate to economic development.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of engaging effectively at all levels in both public and private sectors.
• Experience in leading complex projects and overseeing delivery by third-party organisations.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and partnerships across various sectors.
