Project Engineer Job Overview:
This role involves overseeing small capital investment projects with the support of the Project Manager, ensuring alignment with business strategy and responsible fund allocation. It also includes assisting with contractor management and maintaining the H&S file for larger projects.

Project Engineer Job Responsibilities:
·Define project scope, objectives, and specifications for tender submissions.
·Manage the tendering process, including contract negotiations and terms & conditions.
·Oversee project budgets, timelines, and capital submissions, working with cross-functional teams.
·Identify and address project risks, including scheduling conflicts.
·Review and approve designs to ensure compliance with safety and food industry regulations.
·Assess and approve RAMS before work begins on-site.
·Supervise on-site activities, issue work permits and manage high-risk tasks in line with legal and company policies.
·Maintain CDM health & safety documentation and conduct contractor inductions.
·Perform health & safety and environmental audits to ensure compliance.
·Ensure successful project completion through effective stakeholder management and communication.

Project Engineer Required Attributes:
·Engineering qualification (Degree or equivalent - HND, HVC etc).
·Relevant safety certifications (e.g., SMSTS, FAAW, IOSH).
·Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to quickly understand business processes and technical needs.
·Proficient in MS Office and standard engineering tools.
·Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
