Job Description - Project Engineer - Manufacturing - 12 Month Contract

Role: Project Engineer - Manufacturing
Type: Contract – 6 to 12 Months
Pay: £25.00 Per Hour PAYE / £34.00 Umbrella – Inside IR35
Hours: 07:30 – 16:30 (flexible) Mon-Fri
Location: Worcester

Are you a Project Engineer contractor looking for your next contract? I’m currently representing my client who are looking for two Project Engineer’s to join them on a contract basis. One for 12 months and the other for 6 months.

Project Engineer - Job Description
  • Support development of components using the APQP process, including FMEA, risk assessment, control plans, and quality planning
  • Provide engineering support for NPI projects by hosting cross-functional sessions and facilitating APQP activities
  • Lead capability studies, root cause investigations, and document lessons learned to mitigate manufacturing issues
  • Take technical ownership across development, pre-serial, and serial production phases, including deviation disposition
  • Create and cascade technical instructions to internal teams and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with customer requirements

Project Engineer - Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • Requires several years of relevant experience with strong understanding of APQP methodologies and problem-solving techniques
  • Must have experience on NPI projects and FMEA
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems
  • Proven track record of executing APQP projects in high-volume manufacturing environments
  • Experienced in preparing and delivering validation documentation to external customers.
