Job Description - Project Manager (Adult Social Care and Health)

Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Project Manager for our client a local government organisation in Kensington

The successful candidate will develop a Carers’ Welcome Pack (CWP), targeted at Carers aged 18 and above. They will be involved in every aspect, from planning the project, researching information, generating ideas, organising and leading co-design events, determining the structure and content, drafting the CWP, planning and, as relevant, undertaking the promotion and socialisation of the CWP.

There are some carers who are known to the organisation and engaged with the organisation and their services and there are some that are not. There is a need for a holistic CWP that provides information and advice for all adults undertaking caring activity. This welcome pack will need to be accessed independently or through known their services.

Working in partnership with stakeholders, including Carers Services and placing carers, service users and residents at the heart of the project, you will develop an information and advice guidance pack for carers that empowers them to be able to look after their own wellbeing and seek support when needed.

This role is initially a 3 month contract with the possibility to extend.

Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Develop a 'Carers Welcome Pact’ project delivery plan and deliver to milestones.
  • Determine and establish co-design activity groups.
  • Research best in class products to benchmark against.
  • Research and utilise national and local intelligence and services.
  • Co-design requirements and content with stakeholder groups, utilising a range of engagement techniques.
  • Draft the Carers Welcome Pack.
  • Test the Carers Welcome Pack draft with stakeholder groups, utilising a range of engagement techniques.
  • Incorporate relevant feedback into the Carers Welcome Pack.
  • Develop a plan for the socialisation of the Carers Welcome Pack content.
  • As relevant deliver the socialisation activity of the Carers Welcome Pack.
  • Advise and report progress regularly to key stakeholders throughout the project.
  • Place the organisations values and behaviours at the heart of everything undertaken.

Personal Requirements:

  • Someone with a proven background in policy / strategy/ communications is desirable.
  • The candidate must have proven experience of working autonomously and delivering to deadlines.
  • Experience working within Social Care and / or Health sector is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Health and Adult Social Care, Carers and Carers Services, and how councils operate and work with their partners.
  • Confidence in negotiating and influencing at all levels, including in setting/agreeing content and managing potentially complex and challenging conversations.
  • Experience of successfully using a range of co-design skills including group conversations, one to one interviews, survey tools etc.

Working Hours: 37hrs / 9:00am - 17:00pm / Monday to Friday

Pay: £38.26 per hr

Please note this role is within the scope of IR35.
