Project Manager Rail Rolling Stock

Job Title: Project Manager (Bogie Systems)
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £450 - £500 per day inside (Inside IR35)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 3 months rolling contract
Our Client is a world-renowned company that refurbishes and overhauls all manner of rolling stock systems, sub systems and vehicles. They operate across the globe and have a major foothold in the UK markets with an extremely strong order book and customer base.
You will be responsible for:
* Assist in the delivery of overhaul programmes for bogie systems and wheel sets
* Ensure that projects are delivered to time, cost and an acceptable level of quality
* Ensure that all projects are managed and delivered to support the safe operations of
overhauled systems/components
* Working with supplier services as required, ensure that the projects allocated to you are
managed to deliver their time, cost and quality objectives
* Ensure that the projects that are allocated to you are reported so the business has sufficient
visibility of the progress, issues, costs, risks and within your projects.
* Undertake regular project reviews to monitor overall project performance
* Have regular dialogue with customers, keeping them informed of issues, delays, successes
with the programme of works
* Managing cost control from a production perspective
General requirements:
* Previous project management experience within the rolling stock industry is essential
* Have a strong background in stakeholder management and contract agreements
* Experience with MS Projects, basic Microsoft packages are essential, experience with Oracle
would be beneficial
* A strong background in solving problems and issues that arise within rolling stock projects, be that internal, customer or supplier issues
* A relevant HND or higher in some form of Engineering principle
* A qualification, chartership or accreditation in Project Management would be highly desirable
