Project Manager - Renewables & Energy Infrastructure - 12 month contract - Edinburgh - £425 per day via umbrella

One of Loriens leading Public Sector Clients are looking for a highly experienced Project Manage to join their team on an initial 12 month contract.

The position is based in Edinburgh and will require you to be on site 2x per week.

Project

A portfolio of business change and digital projects, the worker will manage and deliver project(s) in Commercial Development directorate - with a focus on renewables and energy infrastructure - however may be required to support other projects in the portfolio as well.

The ideal candidate will have past exposure to setting up a new Project Management function/framework and will look at implementing new processes. It is desirable that you have an interest/background in renewables.

Essentials

1. A strong track record (minimum five years) of managing and delivering medium and high-risk projects at pace, with an ability to adapt to inevitable change.
2. Expert knowledge of the various project management and project delivery core processes and disciplines, using the right tools/approach at the right time in a proportionate and pragmatic manner.
3. Hands-on experience of managing business improvement and transformation projects.
4. Experience of managing and delivering projects with a strong commercial element (e.g., development of new commercial models) and capable of interacting with external suppliers.
5. Experience of scoping technology solutions.
6. Proficient team player in a multidisciplinary, self-managing team environment.
7. Proficient in the use of project management tools and business tools (such as Microsoft applications).
8. Competent in ensuring data of sufficient quality is appropriately used through analysis and evaluation to inform decisions.
9. A recognised Project or Programme Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM PMQ/PPQ, MSP).
