Project Support Officer

Contract: 6-month contract
Working Hours: 22.5 hours per week (3 days/week)
Rate: £260 per day (via umbrella) (£190 PAYE per day)
On-site Requirement: 1–2 days per week in the office

About the Role
Slough Borough Council is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Support Officer to play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our ambitious SEND Transformation Programme.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a programme focused on driving real, positive change for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and update key project and programme documentation
Track actions, risks, milestones, and dependencies
Coordinate and support meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement events
Take accurate minutes and proactively follow up on agreed actions
Prepare reports and support clear communication across teams
Work independently and take initiative to support programme delivery

Essential Skills and Experience

Project Support: Proven experience supporting complex projects or programmes
Data Analysis: Strong data skills with the ability to analyse and present information clearly; proficiency in Excel essential
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Organisation: Highly organised with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Stakeholder Engagement: Comfortable working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
