Are you a recent or upcoming psychology graduate looking to gain practical experience in a specialist educational setting?

This is an exciting opportunity to work 1:1 with autistic students in a highly supportive special needs (SEN) school. You'll play a vital role in helping young people overcome barriers to learning, develop emotional regulation, and thrive in a structured environment. This role is ideal for those aspiring to become:

• Assistant Psychologists

• Educational or Clinical Psychologists

• Mental Health Practitioners

• SEN Teachers or Therapists (e.g., SALT, OT, CBT)

• Provide consistent, 1:1 support to a pupil with autism throughout the school day

• Help deliver individualised learning, communication strategies, and sensory regulation activities

• Support behaviour through positive, trauma-informed approaches

• Use visual schedules, social stories, and other autism-specific tools

• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to implement EHCP targets

• Track pupil progress and contribute to daily wellbeing and reflection records

• A degree in Psychology (or related subject)

• Passionate about supporting autistic children and young people

• Empathetic, calm, and emotionally resilient

• Experience with autism (personal, educational, or voluntary) is highly desirable

• A strong interest in SEND, behaviour, and child development

• Looking for a full academic year of hands-on experience before progressing in a psychology-related career

• A nurturing and specialist environment with expert staff

• Opportunities to observe and work alongside Educational Psychologists, SALTs, OTs, and SEND specialists
