Time for a clean-up job.

If you've ever walked into an Accounts Payable department mid-way through a new system implementation, you'll know what to expect: missing PO's, processes not being followed, and invoices stacking up faster than you can say "workflow bottleneck".

This is a chance to take the wheel as interim AP manager and make a visible impact fast.

This is a 6-month contract working in Mirfield with a salary equivalent to £50,000-£55,000. It's a 5-day week, with the option to work 1 day from home, but Friday's a short one - clocking off at 3.30pm.

The accounts payable manager remit here is clear: get the team running smoothly, the D365 processes working properly, and the business bought into doing things the right way.

You'll oversee a team of six, processing 100-150 invoices per day. They're using Bottomline for invoice scanning and D365 for everything else. You'll make sure the PO process is being followed, backlog is cleared, and workload is balanced.

There's a fair bit of hands-on problem-solving too: updating suppliers and internal teams on where to send invoices, keeping an eye on KPIs (especially those missing or retrospective PO's), and unblocking what's stuck in the system.

You'll also get exposure to some more complex bits - letters of credit (130-150 a month), USD transactions, dealing with suppliers in China and Taiwan, and reviewing commercial invoices.

To hit the ground running, you'll need solid accounts payable manager experience, strong working knowledge of D365, and a knack for practical, people-focused solutions. If you've got some AR background too, all the better.
