Purchasing And Contracts Officer - Local Authority

My client in Darlington are looking to appoint a talented Purchasing & Contracts Officer on a Contract basis.

The purpose of this role is to provide general purchasing, contract monitoring and surveying support for Construction.

What's on offer:

• Salary: £14+ per hour, inside IR35

*negotiable based on experience

• Monday to Friday 8:00 to 16:00

About the role:

Based in Darlington (Hybrid):

• Responsible for the accurate gathering of prices or quotations for goods and services timely order processing for capital works and maintenance projects
• Responsible for the accurate gathering of prices or quotations for goods and services timely order processing for capital works and maintenance projects
• Checking and processing of invoices, dealing with suppliers/contractors on invoice queries, including utility bills for New Build Housing schemes
• Administration and monitoring of purchasing and purchasing reconciliation

About you:
You will have the following experiences:

• Extensive experience in a similar role
• Approximately 3 years' experience of working in procurement in a large, multi-functional organisation
• Approximately one years' experience of administrative functions within a civil engineering/building environment
• Local Authority experience is essential
