QC Team Lead

Walker Cole International is currently searching for a QC Team Leader to join a Liquid Pharmaceutical Manufacturer based in the North of England on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

This is a great opportunity to step into a hands-on leadership role within a collaborative and fast-paced QC environment, supporting the manufacture of oral liquid medicines for patients with specific dosing or swallowing needs.

Your responsibilities as QC Team Leader would be to:

• Lead and support a team of QC analysts across raw materials, packaging, finished products, stability, and microbiology testing.

• Review analytical documentation, oversee testing schedules, and ensure GMP compliance.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support cross-functional collaboration with QA, manufacturing, and new product development.

• Monitor departmental KPIs and ensure timely delivery of high-quality data for internal and external stakeholders.

• Support training, coaching, and day-to-day guidance of team members to maintain high performance and quality standards.

Requirements for QC Team Lead:

• Has experience working in a GMP-regulated quality control environment.

• Brings a solid understanding of analytical testing, quality systems, and laboratory operations.

• Demonstrates strong organisation and communication skills, with the ability to lead and support others.

• Is confident managing priorities in a fast-paced setting and contributing to wider team objectives.

• Is available to start promptly and open to a 6-month fixed-term opportunity.
