Qualified Social Worker, Children in Care Worker
Pay rate £33.37 per hour
Vitalis are recruiting for an experienced Social Worker in to work in a Children in Care Team in Suffolk.
Job Information: Case responsible person / Allocated social worker for children in care proceedings and children who are in long term care or for whom permanent alternative care planning is progressing. Undertaking direct work with children in care, ascertaining their lived experience and their wishes and feelings; undertaking life story work and producing life story books. Write, review and amend children’s care plans, taking into consideration their identified needs. Writing reports for Children in Care reviews and for Court as part of care proceedings. Working in partnership with the child’s carers / parents / family network and a variety of other professionals as part of care planning, including the child’s IRO, Guardian, Health and Education etc. The role involves significant travelling, sometimes to rural locations to visit children in placements, therefore driving is essential.
