Vitalis are recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to work in a Mental Health Team in Salford.
We are wishing to recruit two experienced social workers to act as Mental Health Commissioning and Review Officers within Salford's community mental health services. The postholders will be based within Prescott House Community Mental Health Team (CMHTs) situated in the Little Hulton area and Ramsgate House situated in the Lower Broughton area. The primary focus will be upon completing 12 month statutory reviews of mental health care packages in accordance with Care Act and s.117 Mental Health Act.
Mental health Adult Social Care is delivered in Salford in accordance with local s.75 arrangements. This results in mental health social workers being based within integrated and multi-disciplinary community teams within Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.
You will need to have good interpersonal skills, experience of delivering the relevant social care statutory functions, be committed to providing a person centred and strengths-based approach and be able to work efficiently / flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
Applicants must be able to use a car as there will be a need to travel around Salford and also out of area boroughs with respect to out of area placements. A collaborative approach with other Review Officers will be needed to promote effective delivery across all the CMHTs, not just at respective teams.
3 years reference, gaps in employment history checked, any relevant quals as per JDPS
It will be primarily office based but we can consider working from home arrangements across the week as well.
