Qualified Social Worker Out of Hours

We have an exciting Locum Social Work opportunity within the Out of Hours (OOH) Team in Stockport, Greater Manchester.

The OOH service provides an effective and timely response to urgent notifications outside business hours, identifying when a child or adult is vulnerable and at risk of harm. The team comprises experienced social workers, a team manager, and on-call service lead support.

Work outside regular hours (Rota example available). You will be office-based until 8:30 pm, then work remotely. Night shifts are home-based, with on-call duties requiring occasional travel.

• Conduct Section 47 investigations and decision-making
• Safeguarding adults and children
• Placement of children (including PACE beds) and adults in residential care
• Complete welfare visits and checks

• 3+ years of working within a similar team/role
• Diploma/Degree in Social Work
• Registration with Social Work England
