Shorterm Group is proud to partner with a global leader in aerospace engineering to recruit a skilled Quality Inspector for an exciting fixed-term opportunity based in Wolverhampton. This role plays a vital part in supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and maintaining high standards across both internal manufacturing and the wider supply chain.

?? Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual inspections using micrometers, height gauges, shadowgraphs, vision systems, etc.
- Support machinists and operators through technical inspection guidance.
- Conduct inspections using Zeiss Calypso and PC-DMIS systems.
- Carry out AS9102 First Article Inspections (piece parts, assemblies, and CMM prove-outs).
- Prepare non-conformance reports and support root cause investigations.
- Provide operator inspector training and support cross-functional inspection needs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

? Required Skills & Experience:
- HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Strong experience with first article inspections, manual inspection tools, and quality systems.
- Ability to interpret complex technical drawings with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with Q-Pulse or similar systems for reporting and document control.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.

?? Desirable:
- Experience with Zeiss CMM, Calypso, and PC-DMIS.
- Aerospace sector background.
- Green Belt or Six Sigma knowledge.
- Experience with PPAP and APQP processes.

?? Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: Start between 7:30-8:00 AM, finish between 4:15-5:00 PM
Friday: Finish between 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM
- Overtime may occasionally be available
