Quantity Surveyor

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor and Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established electrical and power firm, on a 6-month contract (possibility for future extension) Our client would also consider outside IR35 contractors. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid arrangement, working from the Birmingham office.

This is a great opportunity to work on landmark HV Power, Transmission & Distribution projects, shaping the future of the UK’s Energy, Power, T&D Infrastructure.

-Day rate between £400-475 (depending on experience),

-Hybrid working arrangement.

What we are looking for:

Essential:

-Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor (minimum of 3 years).

-BSc in Quantity Surveying or HND in Quantity Surveying.

-Proficient in Microsoft Office.

-Knowledge of construction methods, contracts (NEC3/4 Options A & C), and standard measurement practices.

Desirable:

-Chartered or working towards chartership (e.g. with RICS or equivalent).

-Experience in the Power Transmission & Distribution sector.

Key Responsibilities:

-Monitor and improve cost efficiency within operations.

-Promote safe working practices within the commercial team.

-Manage budgets, procure subcontractors, and prepare contracts, also review and negotiate contract/subcontract terms, supporting major projects from handover to final account.

-Assess and issue subcontractor certificates as needed.
