Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for your next challenge? A client of mine is working with a major Joint Venture in the Civil Engineering sector, delivering a high-profile infrastructure project in North West London. This is a long-term contract role, offering a hybrid working model with 4 days on-site and 1 day working from home.

Key Details:

• Day Rate: £500 - £600 (Inside IR35)

• Location: North West London (Site-based)

• Working Pattern: 4 days on-site, 1 day WFH

• Sector: Civil Engineering

Requirements:

• We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor with strong, up-to-date Contractor-side experience and a solid understanding of NEC forms of contract. You will be responsible for managing subcontractors and providing robust commercial support to the project team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting and issuing compensation event (CE) notices and instructions

• Managing and assessing Applications for Payment (AFPs)

• Regular reporting of Final Account positions

• Subcontract management - procurement, administration, and close-out

• Interfacing with project teams to ensure commercial governance

Essential Experience:

• Strong knowledge and application of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts

• Hands-on experience in Civils or Building projects

• Currently or recently working Contractor-side

• Demonstrable track record of subcontract management and change control

• Ability to work effectively with delivery teams, planners, and commercial leads
