Reception Teacher

This Catholic primary school is looking for a reception teacher to start in September 2025 on a full-time basis for the autumn term only. This school prides itself on offering a caring and stimulating learning environment. This school prides itself on having high standards for all its children and their aim is to develop the whole child. To do this, they focus on providing exceptional pastoral care and embracing things such as forest school and getting the children outside as much as possible.
Your new role
Your new job at this school will be to work in a reception class of 15 children for the autumn term on a full-time basis. This job requires you to take on full class responsibility, including planning, preparation, assessments, and creating a welcoming and engaging free-flow environment. You will also be responsible for observing the children and then adapting lessons and free play based around the early learning goals and framework.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this job, you need to be available for the whole of the autumn term on a full-time basis. You need to be a reception specialist and ideally have experience of Read Write Inc as this is the system they use. However, this is not essential. This school is a great place to work with a friendly and supportive staff network which will welcome you from day 1.
