We are thrilled to announce a recruitment event for the position of Learning Care Support Assistant. This role is pivotal in providing personalised support and care, helping individuals with learning difficulties/disabilities achieve their full potential. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals who are eager to make a difference in the lives of those we support.

Event Details:

• Date: 6th - 7th August
• Agenda: Introduction to the role, group interviews, and Q&A sessions

Day-to-day of the role:

• Work with students either one-on-one or in small groups to facilitate their integration and learning in the classroom.
• Liaise with Course Tutors and other relevant personnel to ensure cohesive support.
• Assist students with personal care, feeding, and medication administration as needed.
• Encourage and support students towards achieving greater independence.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working with or supporting young people with learning difficulties/disabilities.
• Good standard of education, including Maths and English, preferably at a minimum of GCSE Grade C/grade 4 or equivalent.
• Willingness to undergo and complete necessary training if successful in securing the role.

Training (Provided upon successful hiring):

• Team Teach Training/De-escalation and Management of Challenging Behaviour
• Administration of Medication - Practical
• Epilepsy- Epi-Pen - Practical
• Buccal Midazolam - Practical
• Manual Handling including Hoisting - Practical
• Autism Awareness
• Learning Disability Awareness
• Safeguarding & Prevent Training
