Red Hat / Platform Engineer - Linux - Zurich

We're looking for an experienced IT Platform Engineer with strong RedHat, Db2, and Micro Focus skills to join a core backend systems team within a business-critical environment.
This is a contract opportunity running for two years, supporting the evolution of essential enterprise infrastructure.

• On-site in central Zurich

• Fluent German is essential

• RedHat / Db2 / Micro Focus / Automation experience required

• Contract runs until the end of 2025

What you'll do:

• Maintain and develop a central core system landscape, including backend tools and automation

• Implement business-critical requirements across:

  • Micro Focus Enterprise Server

  • Db2

  • Linux RedHat

  • Control-M, Puppet, Scripting

• Automate and expand RedHat-based infrastructure

• Support lifecycle management and legacy module modernization

• Participate in monthly on-call rotation

What we're looking for:

• Several years of hands-on experience in RedHat system engineering

• Strong background with:

  • Micro Focus Enterprise Server

  • Db2

  • Puppet / Ansible / Control-M

• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Perl, PL/1)

• Solid understanding of infrastructure integration, on-prem systems, and networks

• Proven experience with projects like Mainframe on Linux or heterogeneous system environments

• Fluent in German (required)
