Refrigeration / AC Engineering Manager – Nottingham – 50K

I am currently representing an excellent refrigeration, air conditioning and cold storage specialist who have an exciting new opportunity for an Engineering Manager to come and join a growing team in Nottinghamshire.

The ideal candidate would come from a strong background in refrigeration and air conditioning and have proven experience in leading a team of engineers with the technical expertise to support and grow the team.

This would be a full-time office role, in which you would be managing all aspects of refrigeration & air conditioning (including the cold store equipment) and will be supported by X2 office staff and the Engineering Supervisor. Some travel to customer sites is required with the client base mainly in the Midlands.

Duties to include but not limited to:

• Quoting, submitting tenders, design and managing installation of new & replacement refrigeration and air conditioning equipment from concept to completion.
• Clear communication and negotiation with both customers and suppliers with a full understanding of the AC/Refrigeration life cycle.
• These units can include VRV’s, VRF’s systems, Splits, Multi Splits and large commercial refrigeration systems.
• Technical support to the current engineering team and also helping grow the skill sets of the improver / intermediate level engineers.
• Seeking out new business opportunities.

The role is based on a 40-hour working week with the core hours between 8.30am – 5pm. You will be required to assist with taking out of hours emergency breakdown telephone calls as and when they come in and pass over to the relevant OOH engineers.
