Hours: Monday to Friday - Day Shifts

Job Description

Are you a reliable and hardworking individual looking for a hands-on role in the local area? We are currently recruiting Refuse and Cleansing Operatives to join a dedicated team in Caerphilly.

In this role, you'll help deliver essential cleansing and waste services across the borough-keeping streets, parks, public spaces, and recycling centres clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Litter picking, sweeping, and fly-tipping removal across public spaces
• Loading heavy/bulky waste onto collection vehicles
• Assisting the public at Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs)
• Promoting recycling and providing information on waste collection
• Operating equipment (e.g., pressure washers, strimmers - full training provided)
• Yardman duties such as stock control, loading/unloading, issuing PPE
• Working to health & safety regulations and safe systems of work

Ideal Candidate

• Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor, manual work
• A positive, team-focused attitude with strong communication skills
• Flexible with hours (occasional out-of-hours may be required)
• Previous experience in cleansing, grounds maintenance, or waste services is desirable but not essential
• Full UK driving licence beneficial (not mandatory)
