Registered Manager Children's Home

We are looking for a compassionate, experienced, and motivated Registered Manager to lead our dedicated team at Canon’s House, a specialist short break residential service in Wiltshire.

Registered Manager - Children’s Home (Canon’s House)
Location: Canons House - Short Break Disability Childrens Home
Hours: 30 hours per week
Contract: Temporary, ongoing
Pay: £359.00 per day umbrella

About the Role:

As Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in the home, overseeing all operational, safeguarding, and care provision responsibilities. You will:

• Lead, inspire, and manage a team of experienced care professionals.
• Ensure the overnight short break service consistently meets the needs of children, young people, and their families.
• Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring prompt and effective responses to all safeguarding concerns.
• Manage change, advise on service policies and procedures, and respond to operational emergencies.
• Oversee budgets and financial reporting for the home.
• Work as a key member of the Children and Young People Disability Team, contributing to the wider service provision and strategy.

What We’re Looking For:
A confident, proactive leader with:

• Previous management experience in a residential care setting.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience.
• A passion for delivering outstanding, child-focused care.
• The ability to manage resources, teams, and operational challenges effectively.
• A recognised Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards this qualification).
