Religious Studies Teacher

We are seeking to appoint a passionate and knowledgeable Religious Education Teacher to join our Humanities faculty. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to help shape students’ understanding of faith, ethics, and philosophy in a diverse and inclusive school environment.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking R.E. lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to contribute to Key Stage 5. You will play a key role in promoting respect, tolerance, and critical thinking through the study of world religions and moral issues.

Our school is a growing secondary academy for boys aged 11–18, rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in its first inspection. Religious Education is a valued subject within our curriculum, supporting students in developing a deeper understanding of themselves and others in a multicultural society.

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Has a degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject and holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Can teach R.E. to at least GCSE level (A-level desirable)
• Has a strong understanding of world religions and ethical frameworks
• Is committed to promoting inclusivity, dialogue, and critical thinking
• Is a reflective practitioner with excellent communication and organisational skills
