The Role

We are seeking to appoint a passionate and knowledgeable Religious Education Teacher to join our Humanities faculty. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to help shape students’ understanding of faith, ethics, and philosophy in a diverse and inclusive school environment.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking R.E. lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to contribute to Key Stage 5. You will play a key role in promoting respect, tolerance, and critical thinking through the study of world religions and moral issues.

The School

Our school is a growing secondary academy for boys aged 11–18, rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in its first inspection. We are committed to academic excellence, character development, and leadership education. The school welcomes pupils of all faiths and none and is part of a high-performing multi-academy trust.

Religious Education is a valued subject within our curriculum, supporting students in developing a deeper understanding of themselves and others in a multicultural society.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Has a degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject and holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Can teach R.E. to at least GCSE level (A-level desirable)
  • Has a strong understanding of world religions and ethical frameworks
  • Is committed to promoting inclusivity, dialogue, and critical thinking
  • Is a reflective practitioner with excellent communication and organisational skills
