Job Description- The role

On behalf of PwC, we are looking for a Cost Modeller for an initial 12 week contract based remotely within the UK.

This role focuses on evaluating and optimising the cost and pricing of software and technology products. The candidate will be responsible for breaking down complex cost structures, analysing market trends, and building financial models to support strategic decision-making. A key part of the role involves assessing supplier proposals and ensuring pricing aligns with market benchmarks and internal cost drivers.

What you'll do:

• Deconstruct and analyse the cost components of software and technology products
• Monitor and interpret relevant market indices to inform pricing strategies
• Assess cost structures, including overheads and key cost drivers
• Develop and maintain financial models to justify pricing decisions
• Evaluate and challenge supplier proposals using data-driven insight

The skills you'll need:

• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data
• Experience in cost analysis, pricing strategy, or financial modelling
• Good understanding of cost structures and market dynamics
• Ability to translate analysis into actionable business recommendations
